The art of getting the right balance between sports and activities, fixtures and coaching, learning and freetime are the cornerstones of our approach to organising your tour to Malta. The MasterClass Malta sports programme features a training session, which can be conducted by you, as coaches, or by our in house coaching team, followed by 2 days of tournament style fixtures against local and other visiting teams. Our management team go to great pains to ensure we recruit (from our extensive portfolio of quality coaching personnel) exactly the right tournament staff, officials and coaches for your group. Our sports programme, tournament arrangements and coaching schedule culminate in a prize giving ceremony, where every team's achievements are recognised and rewarded.

Our coaches all work and endorse our MasterClass Malta Coaches 'code of ethics' as well as fulfilling our stringent checks in terms of CRB clearance, independent references and qualification referencing. Our coaches are all also fully briefed on our MasterClass Malta coaches 'child protection policy', along with our emergency procedures, risk assessment functions and formal disciplinary procedure. Copies of our 'code of ethics' and 'child protection policy' are downloadable from this page.

We can propose a programme for a huge range of sports and ages, see below for our list of "core sports" though please note we can also offer other sports on request, such as tennis, golf, and lacrosse.

The sports on offer for our 2006 festivals are as follows:

Boys: Football, Hockey, Rugby, Waterpolo, Swimming.
Girls: Netball, Football, Hockey*, Rugby*, Swimming, Waterpolo.
* Girls rugby and hockey is restricted to coaching and fixtures against other visiting British teams due to these sports not being played by females on the island.
The format of the two-day event depends on the final number of participants in each sport.

Facilities

Malta has world-class sporting facilities and SET's knowledge and access to these venues really makes the difference to our tourists.
Hockey is played on a brand new water-based hockey astro, rugby on one of the island's 2 excellent grass pitches, football also on both rubber-based astro and grass, swimming and waterpolo are held in purpose built stadiums and netball is held in 3 different locations, including 2 indoor stadia. See the gallery for some pictures of the facilities.
